Karen McCooey Studios expanded into residential design in 2017 with more than 27 years in the hospitality design business. We offer overall vision, space planning, exact and detailed specifications (furniture, fabrics, art, framing, window-treatments, floor-treatments, free-standing lighting, plantings, accessories and décor) paint / color palette selection, architectural features design, art specification, art commissions, procurement, and installation.  It is important to note that Karen is an "Interior Design Consultant", not an "Interior Designer" and while expert at designing interior architectural and structural changes (removing or moving walls or windows and the like), cannot perform with work without a licensed Architect, or a licensed General Contractor.  Karen's design philosophy is twofold "love" - having passion for what we do, caring for you as our client, respecting what matters to you most, and expressing that through design - to transform the way you live, work, play, pray and heal.  and "soul" - bringing soul into all of our designs, yours.  These two single ideas, this single-mindedness of purpose, permeates Karen's vision and mission from beginning to end and differentiates us from all others.
